EXPERT'S VIEW: IS CHELSEA TRANSFER TARGET NEYMAR WORTH £40M?

talkSPORT gives you a heads up on Neymar

Brazilian wonder kid Neymar looks to be moving to European shores after Santos announced that five clubs have met the £40m sell-on clause in his contract. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Juventus and Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala (easy for you to say) are rumoured to be the clubs chasing the mohican-haired striker.

The 19-year-old – who is currently preparing for the Copa America with Brazil – is
reported to favour a move to Real Madrid, but all of the clubs are being given the chance to speak to Neymar. Santos president Luis Alvaro Ribero said: "Five of the most important European clubs offered to meet that clause. They asked to speak to the player and we have given them permission.:

But is Neymar really all he's cracked up to be? Will he be as sensational as Ronaldo, or more of a Robinho?

Here's talkSPORT's experts' view of football's next big star…

"I love him. He is a footballer not for tomorrow, he is ready now. He is a phenomenon. The team that finally sign him will be getting a jewel."
Barcelona defender Dani Alves

"Neymar is different class, which makes a difference. When you play against a team like Manchester United it’s tight, it’s close, it’s nil-nil, there’s nothing in the game. Someone like Neymar comes in with something unique, he opens up the game and scores the winning goal, that makes a big difference, that’s what makes teams be at the top all the time. It would be great, not just for Chelsea fans but for the whole of England to watch him here week in and week out.'
Brighton manager Gus Poyet

"Neymar is one of the brightest stars of world football and of course I'd like to have him, but Chelsea have made him a fabulous offer and I see him playing in England."
Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta

"Neymar has great talent. I hope Neymar doesn't end up like Messi, who plays so well for his club but does nothing for his country... Messi better than Pele? To get there he needs to score more than 1,283 goals."

COULD HE MOVE TO CHELSEA?
Chelsea aren't known for spending big on unproven teenagers, but the recent acquisition of fellow Brazilian teenager Lucas Piazon might show a change in attitude, albeit not of the £40m variety. The London side, however, are no strangers to splashing big money, most notably the £50m for Fernando Torres in January 2011. Don't forget the Blues already boast two Brazil internationals on their books, in David Luiz and Ramires, while the manager also speaks Portuguese, which may appeal to a young player moving across the globe.
